The story behind this design
The plaid is scaled down from the adult version so the check reads correctly on a short leg instead of turning into three wide stripes. The palette is kept warm and muted, which photographs well against the usual December backdrop of tree lights and wrapping paper. It was drawn as the child-sized half of a matching family set.
