About This Item
The DipaliZ Velveteen Plush blanket is a printed throw blanket with a soft velveteen face. The blanket comes in three sizes: 30 by 40 inches, 50 by 60 inches and 60 by 80 inches. The smallest size is a lap throw, the middle one covers one person on a sofa, and the largest reaches across a double bed. This blanket suits cold evenings, a reading chair or a spare bed that needs a top layer. The three sizes are taken from this listing's own size selector.

The story behind this design
Velveteen takes print differently from a flat weave: the pile catches light at an angle, so a printed color looks deeper where the nap lies one way and lighter where it lies the other. The design is built for that, using broad areas of green rather than fine detail that the pile would swallow. The result changes slightly as the blanket is moved, which a flat cotton throw never does.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does this DipaliZ blanket come in?
A: Three sizes: 30 by 40 inches, 50 by 60 inches and 60 by 80 inches.
Q: Which size fits a bed?
A: The 60 by 80 inch size reaches across a double bed as a top layer. The two smaller sizes are lap and sofa throws.
Q: What is the surface like?
A: The blanket has a soft velveteen plush face.
Q: Can it be machine washed?
A: Yes, on a cold gentle cycle. Tumble drying low keeps the pile soft.
Care
Machine wash the blanket cold on a gentle cycle on its own and tumble dry low. Avoid fabric softener, which mats a plush pile over time, and avoid hot irons on the pile side. Shake the blanket out rather than wringing it so the nap settles evenly.
