The DipaliZ Velveteen Plush Blanket is a soft-pile throw made from 100% polyester. Three sizes are offered: 30 by 40, 50 by 60 and 60 by 80 inches. Velveteen plush has a shorter, denser nap than fleece, which is why the printed color sits deeper and the surface catches light differently as it is smoothed. The 30 by 40 size is a baby or lap blanket.

The story behind this design
The artwork was kept to soft neutral tones because velveteen exaggerates contrast: a hard-edged design on this pile looks harsher than the same drawing on paper. Smoothing the nap one way lightens the whole surface and the other way deepens it, so the blanket shifts tone as it is used. That movement is part of the design rather than something it has to survive.
