The story behind this design
Two colors is a hard constraint for a floral, because there is no third tone to fake depth with. This design solves it by varying the flower sizes instead of the shading, so the smaller blooms read as further back. Cream against green is also the pairing most often found in old botanical plates, which is where the mood comes from.
