About This Item
The DipaliZ Custom Medal Cutout Acrylic Statue is a free-standing acrylic piece cut to the outline of a medal, with a name you supply. You type the name on the product page before ordering, and the name shown in the photographs is a sample. The piece measures 5 inches by 5 inches and is cut from clear acrylic with a mirror-print finish. It is made as a keepsake for a win, a season or a graduation rather than as a wearable medal.

The story behind this design
A medal is a shape everyone reads instantly, so the artwork does not try to improve on it: a disc, a ribbon, and the name set across the center. The mirror-print backing throws light back through the acrylic, which gives the disc the depth that a flat print would lose. Keeping the cutout tight to the outline is what makes it read as an object rather than a picture of one.

Care
Dust with a soft dry cloth. For marks, use a little water on a lint-free cloth and dry at once. Avoid paper towels, window cleaner and any abrasive, all of which scratch acrylic.
