Smiling Cabbage and Snail
About This Item
The DipaliZ Cute Veggie Pattern Napkins come as a set of four cloth napkins, each an 18 by 18 inch square. The print is a repeating pattern of smiling cabbages and snails. Vegetable characters do something a floral cannot: they make a table setting funny, which is useful when part of the table is under ten years old.

The story behind this design
The cabbages are drawn as whole heads with faces tucked into the outer leaves, which is a more interesting solution than adding eyes to a flat green circle. Snails move between them at ground level, giving the pattern a second layer and a reason for the eye to travel. The greens run from a bright leaf to a deep sage, and the snail shells carry the only warm tone in the whole design.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How many napkins come in this veggie set?
A: Four cloth napkins come in the set, each 18 by 18 inches.
Q: What is on the napkins?
A: A repeating pattern of smiling cabbages and snails, drawn in a soft kawaii style by DipaliZ.
Q: Are these good for a kids table?
A: Yes. The cheerful vegetable characters suit a kids table, and because they are washable cloth they hold up better than paper through a long lunch.
Q: Can they be used for a picnic?
A: Yes. At 18 by 18 inches each napkin is large enough to double as a small cloth for a picnic basket or a bread wrap.
