Dad's Excuse Log
About This Item
The DipaliZ Dad's Excuse Log is a square paper note pad with a self-adhesive edge. Each sheet is headed Dad's Excuse Log and ruled for writing a running list underneath. Two sizes are offered on this pad, 3 by 3 inches and 4 by 4 inches, both on white paper. This note pad is a joke gift for a father who is known for his reasons, and still works as a real list pad.

The story behind this design
A log implies a record kept over time, and that is where the joke sits: the pad assumes the excuses are frequent enough to need their own stationery. Keeping the format deadpan is the whole trick, so the heading is set in plain office type with ruled lines below, exactly like a genuine logbook sheet. No cartoon, no exclamation mark - the humor comes from treating the thing seriously.
The sizes and paper color above come from this pad's own specification.
