The story behind this design
Dandelion seed heads are mostly empty space, which is exactly what a napkin needs: a dense pattern disappears the moment the napkin is folded or a glass is set on it. Here the heads are spaced wide on a soft mauve ground with the filaments drawn fine enough to read at the 4.8-inch cocktail size and still hold at 19 inches. The mauve is muted rather than purple, so the napkins sit against both white and wood without fighting either.
