The story behind this design

Spring flowers are small by nature and the design does not inflate them. Keeping each bloom near its real relative size means a lot of empty cloth, and the arrangement had to earn that emptiness by spacing the flowers unevenly, in loose clusters, the way they come up in a lawn. A regular grid of the same flowers would have read as wallpaper rather than as a season.
