The story behind this design
Knitting wants to run horizontally, so a diagonal has to be built by stepping color sideways row after row, which means every slanted line here is a small staircase seen from a distance. The design uses that rather than hiding it, letting the triangles pick up the same angle so the whole surface leans one way. It is the most restless pattern in the collection and the one that reads least like traditional knitwear.
