The story behind this design
Paw prints track around this bowl at a steady rhythm, large pads alternating with smaller ones so the band reads as a walking animal rather than a stamp repeated. The marks are solid and slightly irregular, as a real print in soft ground would be. Against a white glaze the effect is graphic and quiet, which is what a bowl on a kitchen floor wants to be.
