The story behind this design

The lamb is drawn as a loose cloud of curls with four thin legs beneath it and a small dark face, so the fleece does most of the work and the animal reads instantly at toddler scale. Every colourway here is pale on purpose: the fleece is rendered in white, and it needs a soft ground rather than a dark one to keep its shape. Heather mauve and heather dust give it the warmest setting.
