About This Item
The DipaliZ Golden Sunflower Framed Poster is a framed wall print of a sunflower still life. The print is made on LexJet Premium 200 gsm paper and arrives already mounted in a wooden frame behind a protective acrylic cover. The frame is offered in black, walnut or white, and the print measures 16 inches by 16 inches. Because the stock is swelling-proof and warp-proof, the sheet stays flat behind the acrylic instead of rippling over time.

The story behind this design
The sunflower here is painted at close range, past its first freshness, with the outer petals already beginning to curl away from the dark seeded centre. Gold and ochre carry the flower head while the surrounding leaves stay in low, dusty greens, so the eye has nowhere to go but the middle. It is a still life in the older sense, a study of one flower observed carefully rather than a decorative motif repeated for effect.
