The DipaliZ Splash Pattern Tote is a large all-over print tote bag with cotton handles. The bag body is polyester and the handles are cotton, which keeps them comfortable across the shoulder when the tote is full. There is an inside pocket for small items. The story behind this design
The splash pattern is built from loose thrown shapes with hard edges, closer to cut paper than to a wet brushstroke. Because the print runs over the whole bag, the composition changes as the tote fills and slumps, which is a fair thing for an abstract to do. The three colorways change the character of the same artwork: black makes it graphic, red makes it hot, yellow makes it a beach bag.
