The story behind this design
Across a 2XL panel a small repeat would become obvious, so the leaf motifs are drawn at three scales and rotated freely, with the largest reserved for the body where there is room for them to breathe. The rust and ochre tones carry most of the weight while a thin scatter of near-black stems gives the pattern something to sit against. On the hood the scale drops so the print does not overwhelm the face.
