The story behind this design
One flower, drawn large, with the petals worked in overlapping blues that shift from near-navy at the base to a washed sky tone at the tips. Leaving the stem unfinished at the bottom edge is what stops the study looking like clip art. The pale colorways were chosen because blue on soft pink and blue on ash both let the flower keep its full value range.
