The story behind this design
Half a dozen dogs of no fixed breed fill this lid, each drawn in a few confident strokes rather than rendered. One sits, one is mid-bound, one has gone flat on its side. The colors are warm and limited, biscuit and chestnut and a chalky white, and the humor is in the posture rather than in any detail of the faces.
