DipaliZ Fall Foliage Mug Ceramic 11oz Cup Autumn Gift

The DipaliZ Fall Foliage Mug is an 11 fl oz white ceramic mug printed with original autumn leaf artwork. The design is applied by sublimation, which sets the colour into the glaze rather than sitting on top of it, so it holds up to daily use. The white ceramic body gives the warm leaf tones a clean ground to sit against. It is a standard handled mug for coffee, tea or cocoa.

The story behind this design

A mug is a curved surface, so the artwork has to survive being wrapped: this design uses a loose scatter of foliage rather than a single centred image, which means there is no wrong angle to hold it at. The palette stays in ochre, rust and olive, warm enough to suit what is usually inside the mug. On white ceramic the lighter leaf tones stay legible where a coloured body would swallow them.
