The story behind this design
All-over printing lets a pattern run over a seam, and this design was drawn to use that rather than to survive it. The florals are packed close with almost no ground showing, so where the sleeve meets the body the pattern simply continues and the join stops being visible. Orange is doing the heavy lifting underneath: a warm ground pushes the greens and the paler blooms forward instead of letting them sink, which is the opposite of what a black hoodie would do with the same artwork.
