The story behind this design
A black ground is an unusual choice for a snow pillow, where white or pale blue is the default, and it is what makes the lettering work. The words sit in a loose hand-drawn script with the strokes breaking in places, so the type reads as chalk on slate rather than as a clean font. Nothing around the words refers to Christmas, which is deliberate: the pillow can stay on a sofa from the first frost to the thaw.
