The story behind this design
Several planets are arranged on a shallow diagonal, each one a different size, so the eye travels the design instead of stopping at a single focal point. Ring systems are drawn as thin ellipses rather than solid bands, which keeps them from going muddy at print scale. The star field is sparse on purpose — a crowded sky would flatten the planets into wallpaper.
