The story behind this design
Sunflowers are large flowers and shrinking them ruins them, so this print keeps them at full size and lets the shoe crop them at the seams instead. Yellow carries everything, deepening to bronze around the seed heads and lifting to near-white where the light catches a petal. Green leaves are kept to the margins so there is nothing to cool the color down, which makes the pair unmistakably a summer shoe.
