The story behind this design

Care labels have a visual grammar everyone recognizes without reading: small capitals, a stack of short lines, little pictograms in a row. This design borrows all of it exactly, including a washtub and an iron with a cross through them, and then lets the third instruction break the pattern. Printing it low and small on the chest, where a real label would never be, is part of the joke.
