The story behind this design
Where the companion cat bowl uses outlines and lets the glaze carry the whiteness, this one fills its dogs with flat colour, which changes the object completely: it reads as a children's piece rather than as tableware. Each dog is a different breed silhouette and a different colour, and the paw prints between them are sized to match whichever dog they sit beside — small prints next to the terrier, larger ones next to the hound.
