The story behind this design

The animals are drawn at the same scale regardless of their real size, so an elephant and a frog take up the same space around the globe. Flattening the hierarchy that way is the point of the design, and it also makes the print read evenly across a narrow bag panel. Warm ochres and browns for the animals, one cool blue-green for the earth at the center.
