The story behind this design
Embroidery forces a design down to what thread can actually hold, so this motif was redrawn with thicker lines and fewer internal details than a printed version would need. The stitch direction changes between elements, which catches light differently across the motif and gives it dimension no flat print achieves. Stone was chosen as the lead colorway because unbleached tones let a stitched design read without glare.
