The story behind this design
Bryce Canyon is really a set of vertical lines, and that is what this scene keeps. The hoodoo spires rise in ranks across the globe in rust, apricot and pale stone, with the snow settling into the gaps between them instead of over the top. It reads as winter in a desert park rather than as a generic holiday scene, which is a harder thing to get right in three and a half inches.
