About This Item
The DipaliZ Slate Serving Board is a charcuterie board built from acacia wood with a slate panel set into it. Four sizes are sold, from 13 1/4 by 7 inches up to 13 3/4 by 9 3/4 inches. Cheese tools are included with the board. Slate takes chalk, so the panel can be labeled with what is on it and wiped clean afterwards.

The story behind this design
Slate and acacia is a pairing that works on contrast rather than harmony: one is cool, matte and almost black, the other warm, open-grained and golden. Setting the slate as a panel rather than the whole surface is the practical half of the decision, since wood is the better surface to cut on and slate is the better surface to write on. The board gets to do both.

Care
