This DipaliZ velveteen plush blanket is printed with fall leaves in vibrant color and made from 83% polyester and 17% spandex. The spandex content is what separates a velveteen plush blanket from the sherpa ones in the DipaliZ autumn range: it gives the fabric stretch, so the blanket drapes around a shoulder or a chair arm instead of sitting stiffly on top. The print is one-sided and high detail. Three sizes are offered up to 60 by 80 inches.

The story behind this design
Velveteen takes far finer detail than a fleece pile does, so this design is drawn at a level the sherpa blankets could not hold: individual leaf veins, torn edges and the slight translucency where light passes through a thinning leaf. The colors are pushed to full vibrancy because the short dense pile absorbs a little light and flattens anything muted. The result reads closer to a photograph than a pattern.
