The story behind this design
Petals are scattered rather than arranged, falling at different sizes so the eye reads near and far without any perspective lines being drawn. Warm tones put the design closer to late blossom turning on the tree than to the cool pinks of first bloom. The mood is transient and a little wistful, and the absence of a branch is what makes it the most forgiving of the seven to place.
