About This Item
The DipaliZ Ceramic Wall Tile is a printed ceramic tile measuring 6 inches by 8 inches, carrying an original geometric fish pattern. Two finishes are offered, glossy and matte. A ceramic tile behaves differently from a paper print: it wipes clean, ignores steam and can live in a kitchen or bathroom where paper would cockle. It works propped on a shelf, mounted on a wall, or grouped with other tiles as a small run.

The story behind this design
Geometry suits a tile because a tile has a hard rectangular edge, and a pattern that acknowledges it always sits better than one that ignores it. DipaliZ built the fish out of triangles and arcs that line up with the tile's own proportions, so the design reads as a made object rather than as a picture stuck onto a square. The mood is graphic and calm, closer to folk pattern than to an aquarium scene.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What size is the fish pattern ceramic tile?
A: 6 inches by 8 inches, the single size in the size option. The 8x8 in the product title is not one of the sizes offered.
Q: Which finishes are available?
A: Two: glossy and matte, chosen from the finish option on this page.
Q: What is the tile made of?
A: Ceramic, as recorded in the product's own material field and tags.
Q: Is this a decorative tile or a building tile?
A: It is a printed decorative photo tile, meant to be displayed or mounted as a single piece rather than laid as part of a tiled surface.
Care
Wipe the face with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive pads and scouring powder, which will dull a glossy glaze, and handle the tile by its edges to keep the printed surface clean.
