The story behind this design
The florals run as a band rather than a single motif, so the pattern carries round the mug and there is no wrong way to set it down. Drawing lines are fine and the ground is left white, which lets the accent colour on the handle and interior act as the second half of the design rather than a coincidence. Switch the accent and the same flowers read warm or cool depending on what sits behind them.
