The branches in this artwork enter from the corners and reach toward the middle without meeting, so the center of the bed stays open and light. Blossoms cluster where the twigs fork and thin out along the length, which is how a real branch carries them. Pale pink does almost all the work, with a warm gray in the bark for weight.
