The story behind this design
The flowers here are drawn at a larger scale than most napkin prints, on the reasoning that a 20 inch square can carry a bigger motif without looking crowded. Blooms sit at different depths, some pushed back into paler tones, which gives the print a sense of layers rather than a flat sheet of pattern. The color runs warm across the whole square so it holds together whichever way the napkin is folded.
