About This Item
The DipaliZ Vintage Wildflower Bed Set is a cotton duvet cover with matching pillowcases. The print copies the look of an old flower book plate, with soft-edged blooms and muted stems on an aged ivory ground. This bed set is a cover, made to go over a duvet insert. It suits a cottage bedroom, an antique bed frame, or anyone who prefers florals that look already lived with.

The story behind this design
The whole design is pitched a few shades down from life, the way printing ink fades on paper that has sat in the light for fifty years. Petal edges are soft rather than crisp, the greens have gone grey-khaki, and the ivory ground carries a faint warmth instead of reading as white. That restraint is the point: it lets a large floral sit on a bed without taking over the room.

Care
Machine wash the cover and shams cold on a gentle cycle with like colors, then tumble dry low and remove promptly to limit creasing. Wash cotton bedding before its first night on the bed so the weave relaxes. Skip bleach and fabric softener, and press on a warm setting if you like a crisp finish.
