The story behind this design
Paisley and wildflower are not natural neighbors: one is formal and symmetrical, the other deliberately not. This pattern borrows the paisley teardrop for the leaves and then refuses to mirror anything, so the shapes recur without ever lining up. The result has a slight Indian-block-print feel without the density that usually comes with it, and the white ground keeps plenty of air in a room.
