The story behind this design
Ferns are all repetition, and the drawing leans on that: each frond is built from paired pinnae that shorten toward the tip, so the eye follows the curve of the stem rather than jumping between flowers. A few small wildflower heads are dropped in at the gaps to break the rhythm.
