The story behind this design
Magnolia is the flower that arrives before the leaves do, and the design keeps that oddness: heavy cupped blossoms on a bare woody branch, with nothing green to soften them. The palette stays in blush pink and cream with a few strokes of bark brown, so the artwork reads clearly on Sand and Dark Heather without turning into a bright print. On Maroon and Black the cream petals do most of the work and the branch almost disappears.
