The story behind this design
The meadow is painted in thin watercolor washes, with cornflower, poppy and cow parsley suggested rather than outlined, and plenty of bare canvas left between the stems. Letting the natural cloth show through was the decision that matters: on an undyed bag the unpainted gaps become part of the picture.
