DipaliZ Floral Olive Branch Hardcover Notebook

The DipaliZ Floral Olive Branch Notebook is a hardcover notebook with blank pages inside and a printed cover. The cover design is an olive branch pattern of narrow leaves and fruit, repeated across the face. Blank pages suit a notebook that will hold sketches and lists rather than only prose. DipaliZ makes it in one size, listed as Journal in the selector on this page, and the blank interior is recorded on this listing.

The story behind this design

Olive is the least showy of the classical plants, and that is the appeal: silver-backed leaves, small dark fruit, nothing in flower. The pattern here keeps the branches loose and lets them cross each other rather than running in neat rows, so the cover has the slight irregularity of a real tree. It is a design that reads Mediterranean without a single sun, sea or terracotta pot in sight.
