The story behind this design
Watercolor suits wrapping paper for a practical reason: soft edges hide a fold. These roses are painted wet, with the pigment allowed to run at the petal boundaries, so a crease across a bloom does not break a hard outline the way a graphic print would. The palette stays in the blush and cream range, which is why the paper reads as romantic rather than as a birthday pattern.
