The story behind this design

The roses are drawn in the faded manner of an old chintz: blown-open heads, muted rather than bright, with the greens dulled down almost to sage so nothing in the pattern reads as new. Fine stems thread between them. It is the most old-fashioned of the DipaliZ all-over florals and deliberately so.
