The story behind this design
These flowers are painted wet enough that the colors run into one another, so a lilac petal bleeds into blue and a yellow center spreads outward past its own edge. Nothing is outlined, which is what separates this from the tighter DipaliZ florals. The result is closer to a watercolor study pinned to a wall than to a repeat pattern, and the flared skirt lets the washes spread.
