The story behind this design
A bucket hat has one flat panel facing the world, so the design had to work as a single line and nothing else. The display face was drawn with heavy slab serifs, because a bucket brim shades the front and thin letters disappear into it. Six earth-toned colorways were chosen so the lettering reads in pale ink on every one of them.
