About This Item
A road running between trees is the subject of this DipaliZ framed canvas, handled abstractly rather than realistically. The canvas is 1.25 inches deep and the frame comes in three finishes: Black, Espresso and White. Seven horizontal sizes are listed, starting at 12 by 9 inches, which makes this the only canvas in the group small enough for a desk or a narrow shelf. The largest is 60 by 40 inches.

The story behind this design
The road is the device here: it enters at the bottom edge and narrows into the trees, pulling the eye straight through the middle of the frame. Trees either side are reduced to vertical blocks of ochre and rust with no drawn detail, which is what makes the piece read abstract. The receding road is why this composition works at 12 by 9 inches where a wide landscape would not.
