The story behind this design
Blossom art usually fills the frame with branches. This one steps back into a landscape, so the pink sits in the middle distance as a haze of trees rather than as individual petals, and the space around it does as much work as the blossom itself. The palette stays gentle throughout, pinks running into cream and a washed sky, which is what makes it a calm piece rather than a loud seasonal one.
