The story behind this design
Kerala's backwaters are a landscape of horizontals: the waterline, the far bank, the palm canopy, all running parallel. That is why every size here is offered in landscape and none in portrait, and why the composition holds together at 10 inches and at 60. Greens carry almost the whole image, with the water reading as the lightest part of the frame.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What is the DipaliZ Kerala Backwater print made of?

Q: What sizes are offered?
A: Fourteen horizontal sizes, from 10 by 8 inches up to 60 by 40 inches, including 12 by 9, 14 by 11, 16 by 12, 18 by 12, 20 by 16, 24 by 16, 24 by 18, 24 by 20, 30 by 20, 30 by 24, 32 by 16 and 32 by 24 inches.
Q: Are all the sizes landscape?
A: Yes. Every size on this listing is horizontal, because the scene runs along the water rather than up a wall.
Q: Which size works over a sofa?
A: The 30 by 20, 32 by 24 and 60 by 40 inch sizes are the ones built to carry a wall on their own; the smaller sizes suit an office or a hallway.
