The story behind this design
Wrapping the artwork all the way round changes how the design is read: there is no front face, so turning the glass carries the eagle from a lifted wing through the lettering and back again. The bird is drawn in flight rather than perched, with long primary feathers that give the band something to follow. Keeping the horizon line consistent around the circumference was the hard part, and it is why the design sits level however the glass is set down.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How much does this DipaliZ rocks glass hold?
A: The glass holds 10 fl oz.
Q: Does the design wrap all the way around?
A: Yes. The eagle and lettering run around the full circumference, so the glass has no single front face.
Q: What is the tumbler made of?
A: It is glass, with the artwork applied to the outside.
Q: How does this differ from the other DipaliZ eagle rocks glasses?
A: This is the only one of the three whose design wraps the whole glass. The American Spirit glass is a compact front seal and the Spirit of '76 glass places its eagle above a dated banner.
Q: How should it be washed?
A: Hand wash in warm water with a mild detergent to keep the printed artwork sharp.
Care
