The story behind this design
The garland is painted wet-on-wet, so the greens bleed softly into one another and the yellow petals keep a translucent edge rather than a hard outline. Leaves trail unevenly around the frame, heavier at two corners and thinning out along the top, which gives the border a painterly rhythm instead of a stamped one. The frog itself is tiny and unfussy, a green silhouette with a pale belly, and it is the only thing on the sheet drawn with a definite line.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does the Frog Princess note pad come in?
A: The Frog Princess note pad comes in two square sizes, 3 by 3 inches and 4 by 4 inches, both printed with the same watercolor floral border.
Q: Where is the frog in the design?
A: The frog sits in the lower right corner of each sheet, small enough to leave the center of the note clear for writing.
Q: Are these frog notes sticky?
A: These frog notes are sticky. A repositionable adhesive strip runs along the top edge of every sheet so notes can be moved without tearing.
Q: What paper is the Frog Princess pad printed on?
A: The pad is printed on uncoated white paper, which takes pen and pencil without bleed and keeps the watercolor border matte.
Q: Is the Frog Princess note pad a good small gift?
A: The Frog Princess note pad works well as a teacher gift, a stocking filler or a spring desk treat for gardeners and cottagecore fans.
Care
- Keep the pad dry; paper notes are not water resistant
- Store flat and out of direct sunlight to stop the print fading
- Press the adhesive strip firmly onto clean, dry surfaces
- Recycle used sheets with mixed paper
