The story behind this design
The galaxy is drawn as a two-armed spiral with the core blown out bright and the arms trailing into scattered stars, so the print has a clear center to read from. Magenta runs through the inner arms, violet through the outer sweep and cyan picks out the star field. Against navy or dark chocolate the cooler end of that palette shifts, which is why the three colorways do not look alike.
